When you browse the Internet looking for a list of blogs, you might have noticed you are often drawn to a particular site because they stand out from the rest. Often webmasters and blog owners pay a lot of money to have their listing appear more obvious so that they attract a higher click through rate. Every website should have a favicon to stand out from the crowd. What’s a favicon, you say? A favicon is the small icon displayed next to a URL in the address bar of a browser.
I’ve written before about a nifty online tool to generate favicons, but that tool does require a bit of HTML knowledge and can work for every website. This tool, the MaxBlogPress Favicon plugin, works specifically with Wordpress powered blogs to allow the blogger to choose from a gallery of favicons.
There are hundreds of favicons to choose from, so there’s not a chance you won’t find one in the gallery that suits the topic or theme of your blog. This is the absolute easiest way to get a favicon that screams at the user and gets attention fast.

Download you favicon to you desktop and you can either reupload it to icon folder or the easy method is you can upload using this plugin.
How to install it
1. Download “MaxBlogPress Favicon” plugin by clicking on the download now button below.
2. Open wp-content/plugins folder at your web server.
3. Upload the folder: “maxblogpress-favicon” there.
4. Goto Plugins page in your wordpress back office.
5. Activate “MaxBlogPress Favicon”.
6. Go to Options>>MBP Favicon for modifying the settings.
